What I want...but DON'T need

As most of you know, I am a new blogger learning how all of this works so I am trying out a few posts to see how you like them (i.e. "What I want...but DON'T need") In this post, I will show you the top 5 things of the week that I want but simply can't justify buying (no matter how I spin it to Jeff). I am hoping to get some sort of satisfaction out of posting these wants. Also hoping to reduce my unnecessary spending by admitting that I don't need everything I want.   Or...better yet, maybe you will find something that you need through this post. Who knows??Let's give it a shot!

1. So....first off this gorgeous CHANEL nail polish in Khaki Rose that is so great for the Fall!
As seen on Kathy-Lee & Hoda (Yes, I have time to watch the Today show most mornings and if I don't I DVR. Sad, but true.)
If only they carried CHANEL polishes at the local nail salon...I'll run it by them
LE VERNIS KHAKI ROSE

2. Next up this absolutely perfect everyday Michael Kors gold chain link watch...this baby is going on the Christmas list for sure!

Jeff....copy and paste to your favorites please :)

3. This "Yukata Dress" from Anthropologie would be so perfect for game day or dressed up for all the fun parties for Brittney and Jamie (2 of my best friends getting married next year) that I am going to be attending very soon. Hmmm......LOVE IT!

4.With these Nancy Cohen earrings ....

"Purely feminine and stylishly chic" perfectly stated by ShopStyle

5. Lastly and surely not the least this very practical leather Tory Burch logo clutch
"This is practical, this is practical, this is practical" Did I convince you??

Well that is all for this week's wants...maybe one of these items will become your need! And by the way I unintentionally created a great outfit that you have my permission to steal!

Simons come to visit

We had our first over night guests and they were quite enjoyable! Noah, Ella, & Eli came to stay a couple of nights with us and had so much fun. They didn't try out the guest bedroom though because right now it is cool to sleep on palates.Or in Ella's case, squeezing into bed with Uncle Jeff & I.

They were very critical first guests:
Noah: "Nanny, you should really keep your blankets in a basket by the couch."
Ella: "Nanny, if you had a bigger bed we wouldn't be as squished."
Eli: "Hey Nanny, where's the choc-milk(as he is digging in the fridge)?" (of which I had none...anyone who knows Eli knows how well that went over)

When they were all sugared up and running around our just over 1500 sq. ft. house, Jeff looked at me a said, "We will never have more than one toddler in this house, there is just not enough room." I agreed!
We had a very busy few days! We went to the Incredible Pizza Place for dinner, games, & rides. Baked a cake, cooked dinner all together, made lots of arts & crafts, went to Jump Zone, played in the sprinkler, planted flowers, and had movie night.
The visit was for Noah's birthday so we let him pick out the movie. He had been dyyyiiinnnggg to see The Blind Side so even though I wasn't sure it was the best idea, we got it for him. That's all we heard about all day from Noah! So.....we all got in our pajamas, popped popcorn w/ M&M's, cuddled up on the palate and turned on the much anticipated movie.
In true Clark fashion...sweet Noah was sound asleep before Big Mike's first night at the Tuohy's. He was so upset the next day...poor baby!

Here are some pictures of the stay...
P.S. I now have a basket of blankets by the couch & always keep chocolate syrup.  As for the bigger bed, that will come later, Sorry Ella!

Helping with 4th of July crafts
Night of fun at The Incredible Pizza Place!
Ella & Uncle Jeff losing to Noah in the go-cart race...
 Jump Zone play day
$65 later...We took home a plastic princess wand that broke before they got back to Lake Charles, a bouncy ball, a mini slinky, & a bracelet. What a deal!

Despite a few criticisms, I think everyone had a great time and they will definitely be back for more overnight stays at the Nanny & Uncle Jeff's!

I love these kids so much and can't begin to say how much I miss seeing them everyday. I am so blessed to have such great little ones in my life! They make everything better!
Come back and visit soon, Love y'all :)

Bahamian Honeymoon

The honeymoon in the Bahamas was literally paradise...we were sooo not ready to leave and come back to the real world.
It was our first vacation with just us two. You learn a lot about someone when you travel with them. I found out we make a great team despite.... double ear infections, severe sinus cold, & delayed flights. It was so great to relax together without any worries. We snorkeled, kayaked, explored the island, sunned, shopped, fished, and a dream of mine..swam with dolphins in Atlantis! It was everything I imagined my honeymoon would be...thanks to Jeff! I wish we were there now....
Here are some pictures of our time in the Bahamas:

Day at Atlantis...so fun!

If we go missing...you know where to find us!
